The celebration is on! As we are all thrilled by the success of Jay Sean topping the Billboard 100 charts, the artist treats his fans to an acoustic performance of "Down." The video shot exclusively for Billboard.com showcases the Cash Money protégé's talent. Yesterday we reported to you that the R&B sensation knocked the Black Eyed Peas off their 26 week run at the top with their tracks "Boom Boom Pow"(12 weeks) and "I Gotta Feeling"(14 weeks). The Billboard Hot 100 chart is the U.S. music industry standard singles popularity chart issued weekly by Billboard magazine. Chart rankings are based on radio play and sales.
The track also got 115 million listener impressions on the Hot 100 Airplay and 1.5 million downloads on Hot Digital Songs. So how does it feel to make it to number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart? The Cash Money protégé talked to DesiHits! about his historical achievement and had this to say: "[Going] #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in America feels like a dream and has only made me appreciate my supporters even more and makes me want to push even harder for the next one."
