It’s official! DH! has spoken to Shilpa Shetty's publicist and we can confirm that the B-town babe and her beau Raj Kundra are getting engaged!

The rumors about a possible engagement between the Bollywood beauty and her businessman boyfriend started earlier this year when Shilpa’s father, Surendra Shetty, applied to an Indian court to have his passport returned so that he would be able to travel abroad in the near future.

 But the "Dostana" item girl denied the news and quickly took to her blog to say:  "Like I’ve said before I will make an official announcement on this site like I always do, the day my parents decide on my marriage date and I promise the press will have at least a month to celebrate the announcement! So to set the record straight, NO I AM NOT GETTIN MARRIED THIS YEAR, yes I am looking at next year, but date not decided."

Well now Desi Hits! can confirm that this time around, Raj is indeed putting a ring on Shilpa’s finger! DesiHits.com spoke with Shilpa Shetty’s publicist who confirmed the news and told us that Raj’s parents are flying in to Mumbai from London and that Shilpa will be wearing a saree designed by Manish Malhotra.

Only close friends and family will attend the event that is set to take place tomorrow at Raj’s Juhu residence. Shilpa’s sister Shamita, who is currently participating in the TV show "Bigg Boss," won’t be able to make it.

So why this sudden change of mind? Just a few months ago Shilpa didn’t seem interested in talking about marriage at all and now she has confirmed that she is getting engaged! Well, Raj popped the question on Diwali and according to the Hindu calendar Saturday is an auspicious day, so why not?
