Urban Desi group Delhi 2 Dublin is despite the name from Vancouver. The band consists of Tarun on the table and electronics, Kytami on the fiddle, Sanj on vocals, Andrew playing the guitar and sitar, and last but not least, Ravi on the dhol. With such an eclectic group of talents, what type of music does Delhi 2 Dublin play? Well they have created a very unique sound! Just as the band name suggests, Delhi 2 Dublin fuse eastern and western music styles together to bring us something new.

Their song "Apples" features Punjabi beats and lyrics alongside Irish fiddles and vibes. Sounds strange? Well it's not; in fact we quite like what this group has come up with. Along with their unique sound, Delhi 2 Dublin has created a very eccentric video.

The black backdrop is complimented by brightly colored silhouettes and lights. The video takes on a kaleidoscope feel with bright colors and circles. In correlation with the sound, the video features a Punjabi dancer in her traditional attrite and bangles. She is accompanied by an Irish dancer, also dressed in a traditional costume, who shows off her dance moves. From blue tablas to red apples, this video is quite incredible! The only thing we don't understand is, why is the song dubbed "Apples?"

Despite the ambiguous name, Delhi 2 Dublin has created its own sound and style. Check out the video "Apples" and let us know what you think.
