Reenie is one of India’s first female singer and songwriter, who combines simple, real and emotional lyrics with some very catchy, sweet and haunting melodies! This young and talented artist currently resides in New York, but was born and raised in India for the most part.

Reenie's musical and lifestyle journey, which includes all kinds of varied experiences has finally come full circle with her debut album recently released in India through HMV Saregama, India's oldest and most reputed record label, simply entitled "Reenie".

Reenie is THE first artist to properly fuse the musical influences of East and West on a top quality HINDI sung project. The album is produced by New York's R&B and dance guru David Anthony, who has worked with the likes of Janet Jackson, Teddy Riley, Babyface, Aaliyah and Busta Rhymes to name but a few.

Coming from a musical family and particularly a Father who is a classically trained musician himself, Reenie soon caught the bug to follow in her Father's footsteps but with her very own clearly defined style. She collaborated on a previous album with top Pakistani artist/producer Mahmood Khan in 2004 that resulted in a nostalgic album called "Rahey Tu Rahey" and took the plunge into her musical career.

A truly international artist, Reenie spent the Summer of 2007 on the road in the UK touring the World renowned "Mela" circuit performing to big crowds with the highlights being at Manchester and Cardiff Melas respectively to a combined crowd of over 40,000 people! Her songs have been making waves on U.K's Asian radio stations for some time now and she has been topping the charts on desihits.com with her song "Hey DJ".
