23 years ago, destiny sounded and a voice was born. raised in a musical and artistic family of natural performers, miss meghna grew up surrounded by the sounds of traditional and modern Indian and Western music. from theatre performances to coffee shops to cultural performances to the recording studio, miss meghna's journey has been real. what she writes in her lyrics is what she feels in her soul. a natural inspired by an eclectic sound, she enters the industry today with a unique sound most easily defined as "world & b." out of a one room studio, miss meghna stepped into the world of music. first came her highly-acclaimed EP. then caame the tour of some of the hottest events around the nation including Dandia Dhamaka in Detroit, Bhangra Bash in Seattle and Midwest Masala in Cincinnati. on her promotional tour, miss meghna and her music have touched ground from Columbus to major cities across the US and Canada, down to Jamaica and all the way across the world to India, Egypt and the UK. in between performances, miss meghna plays the nightclub circuit and makes special appearances at cultural events around her home base Columbus, Ohio. following the release of her debut music video for hit single 'in control (bhangra & b remix)', airing on MTVDesi and soon to be seen on MTV India, MTV Base, and MelodyTV, miss meghna hit the studio to finish recording her first full length album, projected to be released in early 2008. along with production team 'music without borders', she is determined to bring a new sound to the world, one song at a time.
