On November 21 2006, Flatbush Junction released the1shanti's debut solo album entitled India Bambaataa, a title given to him by Afrika Bambaataa. As long as he makes music "to rock/funk the world," he's got Bambaataa's mandate to use his "mind, body and soul to use your music as a tool to fight for justice..." Four months later, back in Brooklyn, he was picked up by legendary NYC label Rawkus where he released his follow-up simply called the1shanti. URB magazine has listed him as one of the Next 1000.
