Happy New Year Desi Hits readers! It's finally 2009 and we have had an absolutely amazing year in music and just can't wait to see what's in store for us this year! 2008 ended witha  bang and taking a look back, we're happy to have been able to bring you lots of cool stuff for your listening pleasure!

There were tons of exclusives on our site, including interviews with people like A R Rahman, John Abraham, and Priyanka Chopra. We were also the very first in the world to reveal the song "Boyz" from the smoking hot collaboration of Jay-Z and M.I.A. Desi Hits! also gave you access to some of the greatest names in music all over the world in both Bhangra and beyond including  H-Dhami, Sean Kingston, and Wyclef Jean.

As we look ahead at music in the coming year, we can look forward to some of the coolest and most anticipated music releases. In both the Bhangra and Punjabi music genre and in American music, there's sure to be a lot of new stuff that's sure to get you excited. Just some of the artists releasing albums in the U.S. include everyone from U2, Kelly Clarkson, Busta Rhymes, to Missy Elliott. And just a little preview in Punjabi/Bhangra scene has records from Billa Bakshi, Aman Hayer, and of course Panjabi By Nature.
