The men of the Deol family are known for their action flicks, just as the Kapoors are more into romance and comedy. But one Deol stood out in the family by taking every kind of role except for action. By now you have guessed that we are talking about Abhay Deol.

The alternative hero of Bollywood now has his own production company called "Forbidden Films" that is expected to make movies films that are not typical Bollywood. Their first venture is "Basra", which will feature Abhay as an action hero. So it seems like Abhay will be carrying on the Deol tradition after all and beating up people on screen.

It makes you wonder if it is a well thought out strategy as this is his first film as a producer. Abhay states that action, comedy and romance are secure genres and as a producer, he needs to be alert and read the market. But this does not mean that he is following his uncle Dharmendra or cousin Sunny Deol's footsteps. Anhay explains that if others think that he is fit to do only certain kind of movies, he will make movies in which he gets to be different.
