Akon Guilty of Second-Degree Harassment

December 17 2008 22:00 PST

Look whose ridiculous behavior finally caught up to him. Akon's supposedly traveled in and out of jail for things like car theft and various other misdemeanors deeming himself a 'Konvict'.   So he should know that no matter how annoying a pubescent fifteen-year-old can be, that he should under no circumstances lift him out of the crowd and then toss him like a pillow, it's just not a good idea.

The R&B singer who was just seen on Chelsea Lately, smacking her butt in good fun and talking animatedly about his album appeared in court today. Akon was at a radio sponsored concert in New York in the summer of 2007 and after being hit in the face with a plastic frisbee, took off his shirt in a barbaric testosterone infused manner, lifted the offending teenager out of the crowd, while everyone booed at him and then threw him back into the crowd of people. Poor boy, he probably thought at most he would get to hit Akon's hand while he sang to the crowd, little did he know he would get more for his money. As far as we know, Akon is not a pro-wrestler and the teenager wasn't Stone Cold Steve Austin. It's too bad for poor Akon that the parents or the teenager himself did not let this one go. His court date which had been postponed until today found him with a guilty verdict, which he plead to for second-degree harassment.

The fan of course was injured, but Akon will only have to pay a $250 fine and do about sixty-five hours of community service, which let's face it he should do anyway just to give back to the people. It's amazing how celebrities seem to get off so easily when normal citizens would find themselves sitting in jail for the same exact crime. The Konvict knows how to stay away from getting 'Locked Up' and once again avoids living out the lyrics in his songs.
