Mumbai Producer B Projekt is not holding back on his debut album 'Blind Folded.' This DJ turned producer has seen the music scene evolve and has taken his diverse experiences and incorporated them into his latest release. B Projekt blends Bhangra and Bollywood and remixes it all on one single album.

What We Think:
The album opens up with the single "Ni Sohniye," featuring U.K. artist Juggy D and U.S. rapper Raja Wilco. With three countries representing on this track, it comes as no surprise that this song is making waves on the music scene. "Ni Sohniye" is followed up by another Bhangra track, "Club Tera Naal Nachda." This song has a great beat and will surely get crowds up and dancing. Master Rakesh's vocals truly make this song hot. "Naal Nachona" is one of three songs that feature the vocals of G-Deep. It’s another Punjabi tune but it differs in that Raja Wilco adds an urban flair with his rapping skills.

 

"Blind Folded" is an urban song that features newcomer and New York native Joslyn John. The song has a heavy beat and appeals to a different demographic. "Pyar Kahani" is a slower, sweeter melody featuring Shehzaad. We hear Shehzaad again on the acoustic version of "Ni Sohniye."

The album wraps up with two Bollywood remixes. The first is the classic "Yeh Galiyan." The song has not only received added beats, but B Projekt has added his own rap to it too. The second remix and final song is "Aye Mere Humsafar," which is a great end to the album. The song is not interrupted with obnoxious beats or unnecessary lyrics but is a fresh and updated version of a good classic.

Ni Sohniye (Electro House Mix)
"Ni Sohniye" has three different versions on "Blind Folded." Many have fallen in love with the original version but this song also has an acoustic rendition and a remix. With ten tracks and three repeats, we feel that this remix is just over -kill. The remix does add a new vibe to the song but we love the original Bhangra version, so the techno remix just isn't necessary.

Final Verdict
B Projekt impressed us by mixing Bhangra, Urban Desi, and Bollywood flavors on one single album. He has approached each song as an individual project and made each track unique. We also applaud B Projekt for taking his album international by collaborating with U.K. and U.S. artists. With so many styles and genres on one album, "Blind Folded" will appeal to all tastes and we recommend it to everyone. It is available in major music stores in India as well as on iTunes.
