A.R. Rahman seems to be receiving praise everywhere he goes. He has always been known for his talent in India, but now thanks to 'Slumdog Millionaire', his reach in the music world is expanding daily. This time he's teaming up with Rolling Stones member Mick Jagger and R&B singer Joss Stone. It seems like A.R. Rahman is finally getting the recognition he has deserved for so long thanks to the movie that no one originally believed in.
Joss Stone and Mick Jagger have worked together before on the song "Lonely without You" for the soundtrack for the movie 'Alfie'. It will be pretty cool to see what the uber talented A.R. Rahman brings to their collaboration. It will undoubtedly create a trio that is sure to make hit music together.
Currently Joss Stone and Mick Jagger are also collaborating with Bob Marley's sons Damian and Stephen, A.R. Rahman, and rapper NAS on a new album which is set for release on the UN's International Day Of Peace,September 21. They are lucky to have A.R. Rahman who most recently worked with Nicole Scherzinger from the Pussycat Dolls.
Sources close to the pair said that "Joss and Mick hit it off when they worked with producer Dave Stewart on the 'Alfie' soundtrack, so [they] were keen to collaborate again...When this project was suggested they were keen to get on board, especially considering the glittering cast of other musicians involved". Glittering cast indeed, with some of the hottest in the business this album is sure to take off.

he deserves a lot of recognition - but not for jai ho as he did not sing it - and he pretends to - where were the people that actually sang the track AR has ditched his indian brothers who have helped him get where he is today and that is a big shame.
