In 'Kajiri' (the movie’s Hindi name), Amir’s role is that of a man who is injured and suffers amnesia after trying to save his lover from a band of thugs. As a kind doctor helps him regain his memory, he slowly remembers what had happened and vows to avenge his lover. Why baldness is necessary is beyond us, but hey, whatever floats his boat. In fact, Amir was offered the option of wearing a wig, but he was determined to get the role right and took to his head with the buzzer. Amir might look like he belongs in a monastery right now, but his hero status, cemented in hits like 'Rang de Basanti' and 'Fanaa,' is uncompromised. It’s only a matter of time before every adolescent boy in India shaves it all off to emulate his idol.
