The UK Asian Music Awards is the biggest night for Desi music in the UK, so of course Desi Hits! had to be there!  The night was full of big winners and some losers too.  Our resident presenters, Arun and P headed off to the award show which took place at the Royal Festival Hall in London.  We've got exclusive footage of the guys doing behind the scenes interviews with all the celebs in the first video, plus we have all the fun behind the scenes masti from the after party in the second video.

So here is what you didn't see in the video! It's no surprise that Jay Sean was the big winner of the night, and he showed off his many awards to P, who stalked him all night!  So while P was busy following around Jay Sean, Arun caught up with the rest of the best. Arun talked to Rishi Rich who won Best Producer and was recognized for his commitment to the scene.  When Arun asked Rishi what was next, he responded by saying that he is working on a project with R&B artist Mumzy and he hopes to someday collaborate with Carlos Santana.  Well that would be quite a collaboration!

The other big buzz of the night was the special performance in the show by R&B group Jagged Edge.  Apparently, they bombed and they rushed out of the event soon after!  The group stood in a few photographs and didn't stick around to be interviewed.  Hmm... could it be out of embarrassment?   Well as you saw in the video we chased them down the corridor and caught up with them.  Before the guys left, Arun got a chance to ask one of the guys if he was into Desi girls and he said yes, which left his girlfriend not too pleased as she tapped him on the shoulder!    So who else was there? 

Well while all the Urban Desi royalty were there the organizers scraped the barrel when it came to mainstream acts with a cast of over the hill stars from yester year.... Jagged Edge, Pras from the Fugees, Preeya Kalidas and Faithless. So that was the show, now on to the after party!

Everyone was PC in front of the camera but the after party is when they started to speak their mind about who they thought should have won.  I guess they could blame it on the a-a-a-a-alcohol baby!  Desi Hits! were the only ones that had access as Juggy D ushers you into the event and introduces us to all the sexy ladies.  Word on the street is that Juggy was the one that had the most fun at the party because he was the one who ended up being the most wasted!  Someone who was probably the second most drunk of the night was Des-C!  What's with these Bhangra guys?!

Of course Arun got in on the action as well, talking to the sexy ladies and celebs like Kazz Kumar. The biggest gossip of the night was the fact that the night's biggest award winner, Jay Sean didn't show up to the after party!  Hmm... perhaps he had a hot date night?  Or maybe Lil' Wayne called him up for an emergency meeting, or maybe the Cash Money star is too big for the AMA after party?  Hmm...  Anyhow let us know what you think!
