The Best of the Best is definitely the biggest Desi college dance competition in the US and as we continue our coverage leading up to the competition we bring you a spotlight on team #6 – New York University's Raas Malai!

The Garba – Raas team headed by co-captains Shana Gohel and Priyam Patel won the Dandia Dhamaka competition in Michigan which gave them the bid for Best of the Best.  The fairly new team started in 2005 and has already won a number of competitions including Raas Chaos and Maryland Masti and even won a national competition the same year they were formed! 

But this is the first year the 16 member team is heading to the biggest Desi dance competition in the US!  So question is will they be the team to take the top spot?  Guess we’ll have to wait until April 19th to find out!
