There is no doubt the dancer is an integral part of any dance, yet that dancer would have no steps if it weren’t for the choreographer.  As we continue our coverage of Best of the Best we bring you a spotlight on the choreographer and what’s behind the making of these dance performances.

The choreographer’s job is to create those spectacular dance performances that you see on stage – and it’s not an easy task.  In fact it’s been said that three hours of choreography only leads to 30 seconds of dance, so just imagine how long a 5 minute piece would take to create!  For the choreographers who create the BOB team dances it usually entails months of planning and hours of practice almost everyday leading up to the actual competition.  Choreographing takes more than just skill and dedication, it also requires a massive amount of passion for dance.  And there’s no doubt that all of the teams competing in the competition hold that passion in their routines.
