Mrs. Jay-Z may have dropped her highly anticipated album, 'I Am... Sasha Fierce' yesterday, but what we can't stop talking about is B's love affair with all things Desi!  But really can you blame the girl?  We're not one's to toot our own horn, but the Desi market is on fire! 

It started way back in Beyonce's Destiny's Child days.  B was featured on an episode of MTV's popular show Cribs where she proudly displayed an 'Indian abode' section of her room, which was decked out with colorful sari covered pillows that her mom, Designer Tina Knowles, hand picked. 

Then who can forget about her concert in India in October 2007?  It seemed like everyone was talking about the 'Beyonce Experience' tour hitting Mumbai and no one was more excited then Beyonce herself!  She even talked about how much she loves Indian music:  'While I'm excited to perform in India; I'm a great fan of Indian music as well.  I have so many favorite Indian artists that it's difficult to pick just one.'

Ever the fashionista, Beyonce mentioned her love of saris again, saying that she definitely wouldn't miss picking a few up on the trip.  That became obvious when she hit the stage in a beautiful colorful lengha.  Plus we hear she partied the night away at the after party decked out in a shimmering silver sari. 

Its clear Miss Sasha Fierce definitely has a thing for all things Desi.  And with her hubby having a similar fixation (anyone remember 'Beware of the Boys' and his 'Boys' remix with M.I.A.?) maybe we'll be seeing the super couple combining forces for a Desi inspired collaboration!  Hey, it could happen!
