Toronto rapper Blitz has been busy touring and pushing his album ‘The Rhyme Book’ ever since it’s release last October, but just recently he played a major mainstream show - one of the biggest in his career thus far in NYC and Desi Hits! was there to capture all the action!

Blitz along with rapper Skelitor, Hindi vocalist Parichay, table player Jus and live band members rocked the stage at New York’s legendary live music venue, S.O.B.’s. The venue has hosted artists like Kanye West, John Legend, Common, Lupe Fiasco, Outcast and even Panjabi MC who performed there 5 years before he hit it big with the ‘Mundian Tu Bach Ke’ track! Pretty much every major artist who has played in New York has played at S.O.B.’s so obviously this is not your average venue!
Blitz performed as part of the club’s Common Ground night which focuses on the generation of international Hip Hop artists. He owned the stage performing his tracks, ‘Time to Educate,’ along with Parichay and ‘The Way I Shine,’ with Skelitor.
It was quite a sight to see non Desi’s vibin’ to Blitz’s rapping and Jus’ tabla beats. Seems like Blitz is taking his street hustle cred to another level with this show, it’ll be interesting to see what his next move is… But for now enjoy the pics from the night!
