It's Friday and this week's movie is the one we've all been anxiously waiting for... Singh is Kinng!  After all that hype and months and months of writing about it, I finally got to experience the blockbuster that is definitely going to be Kinng at the box office.  So was it worth ALL that hype?  Read on to find out, but let me warn you... it's not for those looking for serious intellectual films.

MOVIE REVIEW

CAST:  Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Neha Dhupia, Kirron Kher, Om Puri, Javed Jaffery, Sonu Sood, Ranveer Shorey

PLOT: Lucky Singh (Sonu Sood) is the King of the Underworld in Australia with his crew of gangsters, yet far away in his home town village is Happy Singh (Akshay Kumar) a good hearted, yet havoc causing Sardar.  In an act of desperation the villagers hatch up a scheme to send Happy to Australia along with villager, Rangeela (Om Puri).  On the way he meets the gorgeous Sonia (Katrina Kaif) and falls in love with, but once he reaches Australia an odd yet hillarious series of events lead Happy to become the new King.

THE GOOD: Singh is Kinng delivers what it promised... full on entertainment... laugh out loud comedy, action, and romance.  Akshay is on point and will no doubt be at the top spot in B-Town.  His comedic timings, and sweet and tender moments all flow so naturally.  Katrina Kaif is simply gorgeous and does justice to her character.  Neha Dhupia, Sonu Sood and Om Puri are all enjoyable.  It lives up to the hype, but be warned you must check your logic at the door.

THE BAD: There are moments that could've been left out, such as the pre-climax when Javed Jaffery's character goes awry along with some of Ranveer Shorey's parts.

THE MUSIC:  Want to know how the super hyped Snoop-RDB-Akshay video was?  Well, yes it's hillarious to see Snoop dancing to Bhangra and decked out in full Desi gear, BUT the green screen graphic background and the way it was left as an after thought when the film was over, was a bit disappointing.  While other tracks like, Bas Ek King, Jee Karda and Teri Ore are genuinely entertaining and add to the movie. 

THE VERDICT:  There's no doubt Singh is Kinng will will reign at the box office and shatter records.  It's a light hearted, action packed, comedic romance that leaves you smiling.  Check out what all the hype's about... it's worth it.
