Catching Up with Jay Sean in Miami

It's no secret that Urban Desi star Jay Sean has been busy recording new songs for the US release of his album 'My Own Way,' now that he's been signed to Cash Money Records. Well now we've got some video footage of the crooner while he recorded in December right here for you! You even get to hear a sneak peak of one of the tracks, 'War' as Jay records with a full orchestra at Miami's famous Hit Factory Studio! The recording of the song was caught on tape by major US television network, NBC as part of a piece they're doing on Cash Money Records. And if you look closely you'll see Baby and Slim (CEO's of Cash Money Records) and producer J-Remy giving us the thumbs up!
It should be interesting to see how Jay Sean is treated by Cash Money Records, particularly by the incomparable Lil Wayne. Weezy has his highly anticipated but also highly unusual rock debut scheduled for release on April 7. Will 'Rebirth' be another critical and financial success for Wayne or not? And what effect can it have on Jay Sean's debut? If 'Rebirth' flops (and reviews on Lil Wayne's first single "Prom Queen" are mixed at best), will it have a negative effect on Jay Sean? Conversely, if Wayne stays hot, can the appeal he has in the US rub off on Jay Sean? Or will it not even matter?
Also on the video, Jay shows us the VIP parking he gets now that he's a Cash Money artist. So now that Jay's kickin' it with some big stars has fame gone to his head?
