It's been happening in Hollywood for ages and the Desi scene is no exception!  High profile celeb couples are always in the limelight, whether they admit they're a couple or not.  Take for example one of Bollywood's hottest couple, Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja.  The two are obviously a cuddly twosome, but they refuse to admit it.  The same goes for some Urban Desi couples, who choose to keep their relationships a secret and out of the spotlight.  The question is, why are these Desi celebs so secretive when Hollywood celebs have been so open about their relationships?

On the other hand there are many Desi stars that are open about their relationship rendezvous. There's high profile couples like, Bipasha Basu and John Abraham, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, and Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor.  They've chosen to take the path that Hollywood counterparts like, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson and Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo have taken, and that's to openly discuss and flaunt their relationships.

Anyone who's Desi will tell you what a taboo it has been and in some cases still is, to talk about and flaunt relationships when the couple isn't married.  Those times are long gone as it's the 21st century and Desi stars have adapted as well.  So why is that some still choose to hide their relationships?
