From Tanuk Tanuk to Cha-Ching Cha-Ching, our favorite, yet often annoying Punjaban, Daler Mehndi is taking on big time Bollywood producer Yash Chopra for 1 crore rupees…that’s 1 million rupees! The singer with a huge pug and smile wasn’t so happy when he realized his voice was replaced by Shankar Mahadevan in the title song of Yash Raj Films' forthcoming 'Jhoom Barabar Jhoom'. Daler is seeking damages for criminal breach of trust. While he’s at it, he’s decided to take on other big shots in B-town…the pop singer sent legal “notices†as they refer to them in the motherland, to the film's director Shaad Ali, lyricist Gulzar and singer Shankar Mahadevan, seeking unconditional apologies within 15 days. Apologies from them and lots of moooolaa from the head honcho at Yash Raj Films!

Well, according to an official statement issued by Yash Raj Films, it was Mehndi's secretary who requested the removal of Mehndi's voice from the song (could there be an underlying motive for this?), since the terms and conditions did not work out between the two parties. We’ll keep you posted on what goes down in the courts of Mumbai…will the balle balle entertainer take down the head of the biggest production house in India…not likely, but we’ll have all of your updates!
