The 54th annual Idea Filmfare Awards will be held the 28th of February. A press conference was held to announce the event. Actress Deepika Padukone was present at the press conference, alongside Tarun Raj - the CEO of Worldwide Media. The actress discusses how her infatuation with the award show developed at a very young age. She says how when she was a little girl, she would sit around the Television with her parents to watch the annual Idea Filmfare Awards show.

Now she is ecstatic to be a part of the event herself and calls the award show 'special.' She states that winning two debut awards for her role in 'Om Shanti Om' last year made the ceremony that much more special. Deepika Padukone than goes onto discuss her aspirations in the film industry. 'As an actor I want all my films to do well and of course, some will and some won't...I hope to learn from every film that I do and learn to better myself,' she says.

Then Tarun Raj goes on to discuss the integrity of the Idea Filmfare Awards. He praises the awards show for being one that celebrates the film industry and does not ridicule it. He states that history and stature are what separate this award show from other ones. Also do not expect any new surprises in the categories this year.
