well well. looks like we have a bunch of people who dont like to agree to disagree. well im sure some retard is gonna respond to my response with some shitty hate comment but oh well. as far as " years ago you wouldnt hear about a collaboration like this occuring," get your facts staight. timbaland and magoo collaborated with Rajeshwari Sachdev in 2005, the was punjabi mc with jay z, there are a lot of collaboration with reggaetone artists in the latin and american music industries, the list goes on and on. if we just think back a few years, there has been numerous hits with indian artist. its just no one was lucky enough to attach their collaboration with a oscar winning movie. ar rahman is awesome but i think it is a tad bit distasteful to collaborate such a great movie with a teenie bopper mainstream group. although pussycat dolls have some great hits, i dont think that they have enough talent to work with someone of such caliber. ar rahman will most likely make a big hit, but it will be mostly through popularity vs sheer skill. if it was jay sean or raghav collaborating it would make more sense. they are of the same caliber and genre. noooooo, im not say they suck (for you retards who dont read and jump to conclusions). they are just artist who hit a prime and then fade out. 20 yrs from now, no ones gonna give a shit about raghav or jay sean. they dont have elite voices or anything that differentiates them from the rest of the pop artists. but its still good that we have them, because it helps pave the way for bigger and more skilled bollywood artists to hit mainstream. the only real bollywood person i can really say has made major stepping stones is aishwarya rai. she has done commercials, is one of the models for longiness, american movies etc. now we just need some of the music talents to emerge from india as well. as far as using a real name on blogs and so on, no one does that shit. only people who arent clever enough to think of a righteous screename. id love to see someone go through aol, icq, yahoo, livejournal and blogger screenames and tell me how many "real names" they see. come on now people, think logically before you make nonsense statements.

I have not been to aware of AR Rahman but I recently heard some bollywood music he created and its amazing - I loved slumdog and MIA she is totally amazing too. I think AR Rahman seems very talented indeed

i'm on this site because I support Jay Sean, Raghav and artists like them - I loved the remixes that artists like the Bilz and Suketu did with sean kingston - they were fantastic. I buy all of my music from the desi hits itunes store so Shut up and listen yourself.
