Dev Patel in M. Night Shyamalan's Film 'The Last Airbender'

Apparently, Freida Pinto isn't the only actor from 'Slumdog Millionaire' who's getting some Hollywood attention. Dev Patel  is in the new film from M. Night Shyamalan titled 'The Last Airbender'. It is based on the Emmy award winning animated television program 'Avatar: The Last Airbender'.

The preview gives off the sci-fi fantasy feeling perfectly and makes it seem like the movie will be like the 'Harry Potter', 'Lord of the Rings', and 'Narnia' movies. In fact, it has been confirmed that this will be a trilogy. Not only that, but M. Night Shyamalan has also adapted, directed and produced the film.

With so many films of differing excitement under his belt, it'll be interesting to see if M. Night Shyamalan will make or break Dev Patel's career. It's unclear as of right now whether his character is going to be in the film's upcoming trilogies, but he does play Zuko, a sixteen year old prince-so it's likely that he will.

Apparently, there was some controversy as to whom M. Night Shyamalan cast, because the actors were originally all white. But since then, out of possible love for his own Desi people, or growing criticism; he changed the line-up. We want you to check out this official teaser trailer for the film.

Now that you've seen it, make sure to comment on what you think. Whether you know the cartoon or not, make sure to tell us if you think this is going to be a good project for not only M. Night Shyamalan, but also for Dev Patel.
