Diddy's "Emotional" Confessions To 'Notorious'

January 16 2009 17:00 PST

Sean "Diddy" Combs, the successful record producer, label CEO and "media mogul", keeps a web-log on Youtube (now 'blogging mogul"). He talks about the hard life of a media giant and the hardships of being rich.

Recently he started posting miniseries in reference to the premiere of the movie "Notorious" an autobiographical feature about Christopher Wallace's a.k.a. "Notorious BIG's" life and rise to success. The movie started production in 2007 and concentrates on the life of one of the greatest American Hip-Hop artists and as a sub-plot, his rise to fame as a young black man from Brooklyn, with Jamal Woolard playing the lead.

Diddy reminisces about his life pre-fame and how he remembers finding himself in the movie. He recalls upon seeing the movie as being "difficult" to embrace and that he was hurt watching it, not due to his portrayal in the movie, but for stirring feelings inside that echo within him on a sour tone. It is hard to determine Diddy's true feeling on the subject as half of the "confessional' on the first weblog is Diddy speaking rather vaguely about the emotional hardship endured  by him while he watched the movie, while the other half promotes the movie itself. It even contains the "Notorious" trailer within the video. What is interesting to notice during the first blog is that he mentions the exact date of release for the soundtrack of the movie.

One might wonder why a producer would plug a release date of a soundtrack filled with songs which he has full ownership of in homage to his fallen best friend, while others might call it simple promotion. But those of you, who know a little bit about Notorious BIG and Diddy, know exactly why. What do Desi Hits readers think about Diddy's reaction?

ah yeah, didn't even notice that the first time cuz i wasn't paying full attention lol. yea diddy, don't criticize slumdog. i will be surprised if notorious does even half as well as slumdog did. in fact, i do expect it to not do so hot at all. i mean, look what happened to 8 Mile and Get Rich or Die Tryin', both flopped at theaters.

Diddy said on one of his blogs that NOTORIIOUS Surpasses slumdog millionaire. He degraded slumdog millionaire. He cited that in notorious there were "hard working black actors working there ass off" Well in slumogg millionaire there were indians working thee asses off also. It is well deserved for those awards it won.
