You have heard Jay Sean perform his hit single "Down" in various parts of the world and on numerous platforms, but now Jay’s very own DJ, Bikram Keith, along with U.K  DJ Vix have created their own remixed version of the track!

Bikram Keith got in touch with DesiHits.com today and here is what he had to say:

"I had the inspiration for doing this track after I spun at Jay's album listening party at Greenhouse club in New York.  I was so proud of Jay whenI looked at him singing in front of the President of Universal Music, Birdman and the rest of the Cash Money family.  But what really inspired me was when I looked at Jay's table.  It was still the same guys that were there six years ago- Jeremy, Vinoda, Kunal, etc, all of the guys that have always been Team Jay Sean.  That really motivatedme to do a Desi spin on this track because despite all of his success, Jay has stayed so ground and loyal to his Desi roots despite being such a crossover superstar."

So what does the remix sound like? 

"Once given the opportunity to make the mix, I definitely wanted to do some different besides adding the Desi touch to it.  So I hit up my boy DJ Vix from London to co-produce the track..We wanted to stay true the original tune and not go too far off with the mix. Both of our styles combined turned out to give us such a great outcome, with his experience in Bhangra/Bollywood and mine in hip- hop and house."
