The beautiful and eclectic Kazz Kumar is the first female of the Sona Family, but this chick is going solo!  You can't help but be reminded of the Black Eyed Peas and Fergie, but Kazz's music is actually a bit more, make that a whole lot more poptastic.  In fact, it's quite different from the Sona Family's music.

"My music is not going to be like anything you have heard on the Sona Family.  My solo tracks can be described as pop, house, edgy, R&B, Kelly Clarkson or Lady Gaga," Kazz Kumar tells Desi Hits! exclusively.  "The music I make as a solo artist will be more mainstream rather than the Sona Family since we have some Desi flavor to our music."

More mainstream is right, her track, 'Dirty Word,' sounds like something you'd hear from Lady Gaga.  It's funky pop at it's best, plus it's pretty darn catchy too and you can hear a snippet of it below.  Then there's 'Love Song,' which has a house spin to it, plus it was produced by Harry Sona. 

So with all this talk about her solo career, does this mean the Sona Family is caput?  Well, Kazz tells us, "The Sona Family is having a bit of a break.  We are not recording but we are still going on tour.  Our next stop is Switzerland.  We are taking this year to do our own stuff.  We are not broken up or anything."Our very own presenter, DH! presenter Arun, teased Kazz a bit about this at the AMA's and gave her a hard time about going solo.  You can check out a clip of the interview below! 

Along with Kazz's solo career, she tells us she's also changing her funky look around that she's known for.  She says, "My look will change.  I have a new stylist on board to source up my game in wardrobe and I will probably change my hair color.  I have matured and so has my music, so my look will change."
