Plot:
Fashion is set against the glittering backdrop of the glamorous but ruthless world of haute couture.It tells the story of one small town girl Meghna Mathur (Priyanka Chopra) with a dream and the determination to make it a reality. Meghna Mathur knew she was meant to be famous. She dared to dream of being supermodel and succeeded. She reaches the peak of her success and rises to walk the ramps for leading designers across India. The fashion world now lies at her feet, however, things go pear shaped with Meghna as she slowly starts to pay the price for her fame and her journey to the top. 'Fashion' explores the world of style through the emotional personal journey of the key people that make the industry and the price they pay working for this industry.

What Worked?
Fashion is all about the fashion industry. The narration is filled with lots of glam-n-glitz moments. The fashion shows, the stunning models, the superb styling, the vibrant colours and the behind the scenes drama is worth every penny spent on the ticket. It has all the elements of a super successful film, it follows the story of three main characters characters One, the rise of an unknown into a supermodel. Two, the fall of a supermodel to dust, and three, a ambitious model who does not achieve so much success, and opts for a marriage.Every single actor gives 110% to the film.Priyanka was immensely convincing in her role as Meghna, Kangna Ranaut was simply amazing and has given one of her best performances! And new comer Mudge was sublime and makes a real pleasant addition to the film industry.Actor Harsh Chhaya, the gay designer, stands out, and puts aside the usual stereotypical gay designer image and gave a really refreshing performance. Arbaz Khan took an opportunity to show off his acting capabilities and he does a very good job.The costumes and styling are top quality, and add a touch of extra reality to the films story.All in all the true essence of a Madhur Bhandarker film has been maintained in Fashion, and the audience will yet again be exposed to the reality behind the fashion industry!Absolutely Fabulous!
 

What Didn't Work:
With a running time of almost 3 hours, including a 25 minute climax,the audience could get restless.

Music:
Salim-Sulaiman's music is synchronized well. Songs like 'Mar Jaava' and 'Jalwa' are very true to the story and add to the overall character of the film.
