Plot:
Monty (Himesh Reshammiya), is an extremely successful rockstar based in South Africa. He is immensely popular and worshipped like an idol by his followers. During one of his rehearsals, Monty starts playing a tune and suddenly goes into a trance, accompanied by intense visual flashes—a mansion, a temple and a beautiful girl. Monty loses consciousness. On further probe, he finds out that the mansion belonged to a certain Ravi Verma, who died in a tragic accident sometime back.

Another flashback reveals that Monty was Ravi Verma in his previous life, married to a beautiful girl called Kamini (Urmila Matondkar). Monty understands that he has been reborn in his current avatar and in his past life he was Ravi Verma. From here starts Monty's new journey of discovery. It's an enthralling and breathtaking journey of vengeance, which he unleashes on Kamini.

Set amidst the majestic and breathtaking locales of South Africa, Himesh Reshammiya stars in "Karzzz", the remake of the 1980 cult classic and Subhash Ghai's super hit, "Karz".

What Worked?
Love him or hate him, you certainly cannot miss him. This time around, he has come back with "vengeance" with his latest offering "Karzzz." A remake of the cult classic, Himesh is here to prove something!

The film has lived up to the hype and is able to carry the audience through Monty's journey for revenge. Himesh has lost a lot of weight and does justice to the character of Monty in the film. Urmila as "Kamini" looks fabulous in the film and she has really shown off her great acting abilities. The feel of the film is really fresh and there were good performances by all in general.

What Didn't?
For starters, slightly over exaggerated stunts and a very odd looking Gulshan Grover as a baddy! Although Urmila looks great, she was not used to her full potential, and at times it felt that she was being used more to promote glamour rather than for her acting abilities.
Newcomer Shweta was slightly overshadowed by Urmila’s presence and wasn’t given much scope to act.

Music:
The music of "Karzzz" definitely has that Himesh Reshammiya trademark touch with songs like "Tandoori Nights", and "Hare Om". At the same time, songs like "Teri Bin Lut Jaaon" and "Ek Haseena Thi" still have the element of a haunting melody that compliments the mood and the feel of the film perfectly.

The Verdict:
3 out of 5
The film overall has a good look, feel and music, and is a total masala movie. Himesh has tried to prove that he is not a one-hit-wonder but the verdict is down to you guys, so check him out in your local theatres to see what "vengeance" is Monty out to seek!
