Film Review: Raaz 2: The Mystery Continues

The Story:
"Raaz - The Mystery Continues" is about a woman who has recently moved in with her boyfriend and starts to have strange things happen to her, including a stranger who seems to keep following her every where she goes. Meanwhile, a young artist keeps having visions of a woman's impending death and as an artist can do nothing, but paint them on countless canvases, he tries to warn the woman, but she does not listen until she begins to believe.
Emraan Hashmi as Prithvi - A troubled artist who keeps seeing visions of a woman's death.
Adhyayan Suman as Yash - A young TV executive for a reality show on superstition who has just moved in with his girlfriend.
Kangna Ranaut as Nandita - She's an up and coming supermodel who has just moved in with her boyfriend Rash after a tumultuous relationship.

What Works:
There are some scary scenes, the filming is pretty good and the actors are fairly believable. The movie manages to keep the interest of the viewer despite the flaws and it is overall a thrilling film.
What Doesn't Work:
It borrows many ideas from the movies "The Ring" and "The Ring 2" including the bath scene, the scene with the animals, and the concept of the well.
The Soundtrack:
The film's soundtrack is pretty good, but the music takes a modern spin.
Slated Or Rated?
This film is not bad, considering Indian horror films are far and few between. It isn't one that everyone will enjoy or appreciate, as it is not on par with many great horror movies. This movie is slated, one that you can see or choose to skip.

Ya i kinda hate the fact that these people copy from hollywood and should rather have their own views or ideas on making a nice horror film.Their are plenty of good directors out there and im sure they can make a fantastic movie without wanting to make something similar to a hollywood movies.Hope they do next time!

since when has a bollywood movie not "borrowed" concepts from other movies? whats sad is when composers such as pritam "copies" stuff from outside sources as well. Itz uncommon (but does occur!!!!! = hope for the future!!!) when you see a movie that hasn't "borrowed" something from somewhere...
