R&B/Pop sensation Thara has officially gone global. The sultry singer has landed herself on Japan’s Mezamashi TV, which is their equivalent to NBC’s The Today Show. Mezamashi TV is also Japan’s biggest entertainment show boasting a phenomenal viewing audience of 20 million audience when the show is aired.

The meeting was a cross-cultural exchange as not only did Thara learn Japanese but she also taught the producers English.Thara also revealed that she would be doing a duet with Hiro from the mega group Full of Harmony - one of Japan’s leading bands. Thara is definitely making major moves as this is unheard of for any Urban Desi artist. But you may ask: ‘Why Japan?’

Well the release of her self-titled debut album in Japan, Korea and China has done so well that there are already talks of a second album. Her first single ‘Push Up On Me’ has made Thara a star and her second single ‘Jump On’ featuring Fat Man Scoop is set to take her to new heights. You can check for the exclusive premiere of the track right here on The Corner with Jay Gatzby and Akshay very soon!
