In the heart of London’s capital, Leicester Square was full of music, dance and film last night as it was witness to the ‘Official’ Single Launch party for D-Boy’s new single ‘Nach Ke’ (Bhangra Bounce) Feat. Swiss & V Dubl E from the forthcoming Album ‘PLAYBACK’ at the Rex Cinema and Bar!

This included a special screening of the new music video and was followed by the ‘Playback’ after party – DESI Style! And it gets better... there was also a live performance on stage of the single by the very own D-Boy, Swiss & V Dubl E! And lucky for you Desi Hits! was there to bring you all the exclusive scoop on the party and to get the low down straight from the D-Boy himself!

It was a private and intimate affair with around 200 lucky guests rockin’ the house. There was an amazing vibe that was fresh, funky and unique. ‘Nach Ke’ is a true party track that is sure to keep your body movin’ and that’s exactly what the crowd was doing. The performance by D-Boy, V Dubl E and Swiss, featuring live instruments was spectacular, giving the audience a fantastic feel to the track. With an intro by DJ Nihal, a freestyle beginning, D-Boy on the keys, a live Dhol player and DJ Show N Prove on the decks, this was one bangin’ performance! The party was rocking with the dance floor jammed packed with great music and great people... Including a few famous names like producer Mentor. And D-Boy tells us his label mate, rapper Blitzkrieg called from Toronto to wish him good luck on the release. Most and above all what stood out at the launch party was that the video for ‘Nach Ke’ was also screened in the cinema area, with free popcorn!

With such an amazing launch party, things are only getting bigger and better for D-Boy as he plans to perform at the UK’s Bombay Bronx on December 18th. “I’ve personally gone as a fan of the event so to be a part of it is an honour,” says D-Boy.

‘Nach Ke’ is an excellent precursor to the amazing album that is ‘Playback.’ With features from AG Dolla, Des-C (formally of Mentor Kolektiv), Pyrelli, Swiss, V Dubl E, Sharifa Shi, Ranjit Mani and an intro from Asherd D, who was featured in the flick ‘8 Mile’, you know this album is going to be huge! “It’s an album that will bring what I’ve grown up listening to,” says D-Boy. “I wanted ‘Playback to tell my story.” It definitely showcases D-Boy’s background, as his mother is from Utta Pradesh and his father’s from Pakistan, he grew up with a Bollywood influence from them, but gained an appreciation for underground hip hop as well. The disc is set to drop in early 2008 and D-Boy says he’s already working on a follow up! ‘Nach Ke’ is the perfect track begin the mass storm that D-Boy is about to bring to the Urban Desi industry and a definite must have for any iPod!
