Well it looks like the HipHop scene is causing quite the buzz in India and none other than the first Indian female rapper, Hard Kaur, is there supporting it! Break dancers also known as B-boys, performed this weekend at Mumbai's very own Poison Nightclub while Hard Kaur rocked out watching the dancers!

Out here in the UK and US, we are a lot more familiar with this form of music. India however, has not been exposed to this culture until recently.  For those of you that need a bit of a history lesson, HipHop first hit the scene in the US in the 1970s and we saw rapping, DJing, graffiti writing (a visual art form sometimes consisting of bubble and cursive letters), breakdancing (a spontaneous street dance form), and beatboxing (beats and sometimes lyrics performed by mouth) for the first time. Since then, this movement has been wide spread all across the world and is now finally making its mark in India!

It's no surprise that Hard Kaur is trying to bring HipHop culture into India. We've seen her rap, dance, and even dress with influences of HipHop. So what makes this movement so important to Hard Kaur, you might ask? Hard Kaur likes the freedom of expression that HipHop has and thinks it's a good outlet for getting out anything and everything you want to.

Not only was the club graced by Hard Kaur's presence, but cricket player, Yuvraj Singh, also made a surprise appearance at the Poison NIghtclub to enjoy this HipHop performance. Who would have guessed a Punjabi native would have had such an interest?! The crowd was definitely pumped for the performance as they circled around and cheered on the dancers showing off some bold moves.
