As if Aishwarya Rai hasn’t enough global power, she is now being given a supernatural one. Rai (or should I say Bachhan?) will be appearing in NBC’s “Heroes’” second season as the long-lost sister of Dr. Mohinder Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy)– brilliant Indian genetics professor who discovers a population of super-humans in New York City. One can only hope that Ash will discard those tired Bollywood moves for some good old superhero butt-kicking in her new role as Shanti Suresh – all, of course, impeccably styled in a sari. The TV show’s second season premiers in early October, and features a grocery-list of superhuman abilities such as telepathy, flight, and mindreading – key elements, of course, of every Bollywood film. With Rai joining for 8 episodes, we can add supernatural beauty to that list. Ash’s superhuman ability has not been revealed, as producer Tim Kring must be having trouble coming with a power that Ash doesn’t already have.
