India seems to be the hot spot for celebrities to clear their conscious and donate their to time for various charitable causes…..Scarlett Johansen, Alyssa Milano, Richard Gere, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are just a handful of hot hollywood stars lending their time, hands and minds. This week it’s sweet, beautiful starlet Ashley Judd, she’s in India helping women to understand their rights in the crucial fight against HIV/AIDS. “Grass-roots prevention programs that target women work well,” the 38-year-old Hollywood actress (and does she look amazing for 38 or what!) told us. Judd is representing Population Services International, a Washington-based nonprofit. India has 5.7 million people that are infected by this disease….the world's LARGEST number of people living with HIV/AIDS. Who knows, it could be even more…we’re sure that there are thousands and thousands that have the disease and don’t even know it!!! She met sex workers in Mumbai, India's financial and entertainment capital, after her arrival. "The empowerment of girls and women is an essential tool to preventing the HIV/AIDS emergency from exploding any further," Ashley explains. Most women have "dreams for other people, but not dreams for themselves," she said. "That is painful." And boy is she right about that….that’s true for women all around the world regardless of where they live OR what they do for a living!!! "There is a common problem worldwide and there is also a common solution," Judd said about the need for more prevention and awareness programs. Hey, who says you can’t have it all. Ashley is gorgeous, smart, talented and extremely articulate….if ever get a chance to hear this femme fatale speak, you’ll want to grab a dictionary beforehand…trust us on this one!
