How would you react if your father bought you a fat-free, sugarless cake for your birthday, when you're known to have a sweet tooth?   That's what happened to Sonam Kapoor on her birthday this past Monday when her father, Anil Kapoor, tried to give his daughter a hint to go on a diet by buying her a diet cake for her birthday!  Apparently anil thinks the other girls are looking pretty thin these days (read Deepika and Kareena) and that Sonam needs to compete. 

"I'm going on a diet. I need to get thinner to look comparable with the other girls. Look at Deepika. She's athletic and slim. I'm not an athlete. But I'm a runner. I love to go on long runs all on my own for miles and miles. That is a sure way to lose weight," said Sonam.  

And the rivalry continues... But there a few key things to note - #1 Sonam is not overweight, in fact she looked pretty slim in 'Saawariya.'  How much more can she lose?   #2 This whole losing weight obsession in B-Town is kind of getting out of hand, when will the madness end?
