DJ to the stars and the official DJ of the Abhi-Rai wedding (think DJ AM of the U.S.), Aqeel was handcuffed and taken away by the Dubai police yesterday! He was caught at the Dubai airport after allegedly being caught with drugs…Ecstacy seems to be his choice for a good high. It’s THE party drug that gives you a rush of energy…I guess if you do what he does for a living, you’ll try and get more energy in any way you can! He is expected to undergo urine test and appear in court today…fun! Aqeel is married to Sanjay Khan’s daughter, Farha. The doting wife that she is, has come to his defense and claimed that Aqeel is being framed as he was caught in possession of drugs and NOT for consumption. Hmmm, doesn’t she know you have to HAVE the drugs before you can take them! DJ Aqeel is well known for his stint as an in-house DJ at Enigma, the night club of JW Marriott. He’s performed with everyone from Jay Sean and Punjabi MC to Kylie Minogue and Ricky Martin! If the world is taking the lead from the US, something tells me, his arrest is ONLY gonna make him more popular and in demand!
