One of the most anticipated weddings around the globe for the super HOT couple (well, at least one half is really HOT…we’ll let you figure this out!) Abishek Bachchan and Aiswarya Rai wrapped up today in Mumbai. They had the pre-shaadi sangeet and Abishek even had a stag party…we can’t imagine it was too risqué as the media had been following him everywhere…I’m sure he’ll make up for it post wedding ceremony, this is assuming the couple have been taking the “traditional” route...(NOT!).

The wedding was low-key for a Desi wedding because Abishek’s daadi is not keeping well. Abishek did arrive on a white horse wearing a white "bandhgala" or a long Indian tunic, a silver-colored turban and a veil of flowers on his face. He waved to the hundreds of fans gathered outside of his house. The Bachchan residence has been turned into a sort of fortress to keep out unwanted visitors and prying journalists, giving rise to media reports that the exclusive rights to the wedding may have been sold to a foreign media company…the East catches on quickly as this is what all celebrities are doing in the US! It’s turned into a security headache for the authorities who are posting about 500 policemen to keep thousands of fans at bay. Many fans slept on the pavement outside Bachchan's house to catch a quick glimpse of the stars. A few of the glamorous B-town guests that were spotted were Preity Zinta, Dimple Kapadia, Ajay Devgan (who seemed to have lost all of his buttons from his shirt) and Sanjay Dutt (who looked his usual drugged out self).

You KNOW there had to be some drama and Bollywood did not disappoint! A day before the wedding ceremony, the small time actress and sometimes model Jahnavi Kapoor, claimed she had “physical relations” with Abishek and tried to commit suicide. They worked together in the movie, ‘Dus.’ Police aren’t buying her story as she has no proof of the relationship…but is anyone really shocked that a struggling entertainer would try and pull off a publicity stunt? Suicide is a punishable offence so she was arrested and booked by police. Guess her and Shah Rukh can grab a smoke together as neither were invited to the nuptials!
