MOVIE REVIEW:

CAST: Imran Khan, Genelia D'Souza, Ratna Pathak, Manjari Phadnis, Anuradha Patel

PRODUCERS:  Aamir Khan, Mansoor Khan

PLOT: The story is simple, Jai (Imran Khan) and Aditi (Genelia D'Souza) only have eyes for each other and have all through out college.  Everyone knows they are meant to be - their friends and parents, but only Jai and Aditi don't see it.  But when do they realize it's love, and will it be too late

THE GOOD: It perfectly suits the demographic which it's trying to target - the youth (which I happen to fit).  It's a simple love story that's been told time and time again, but the acting, (Imran excels), comedic elements and the amazing soundtrack, make this an enjoyable watch.  It makes you think of your own group of friends and your own antics.  The film is shot well and captures the days of college well and not in the typical Bollywood sugar coated fashion.

THE BAD: Like I said the story is one that we've seen before and the climax is so typical and filmi and out of place in this otherwise non-filmi movie.  The bits between Imran's mother (Ratna Pathak) and Paresh Pawal are annoying and could've easily been left out.

THE VERDICT: It's a simple, breezy love story, that's enjoyable and will be loved by college kids.  And guys - if you want to score points with your gal, this is the perfect date movie!  This definitely marks a great intro into Bollywood for Imran, this kid's got a bright future ahead of him.  Check out this weekend, you won't be disappointed!
