Jay Sean is definitely doing big things now that’s he’s been signed to Lil’ Wayne’s Cash Money Records label, and one of those is getting a chance to go to the 2009 Grammy Awards!  Yup, that’s right this Sunday the 51st Annual Grammy Awards will hit Los Angeles, California in full force.  The biggest names in music will descend upon the red carpet and our very own Jay Sean will be there with Lil’ Wayne and the Cash Money family!  How exciting!  It should be a proud moment for many who have followed the singer’s career since he first hit the scene in 2003.  Plus it’ll be nice to see another artist of South Asian descent in the mainstream along with MIA and Norah Jones.  Also, what a great way to network!

So while Jay Sean is preparing for Sunday night he’s decided to blog about his whereabouts.  This includes a stop at a barber shop in Englewood, New Jersey.  Huh?!  Now why would Jay Sean travel to New Jersey to get a haircut at a barber shop?!  Well turns out the barber was none other then Jonny Cake who is Jay-Z and Pharrell Williams’ personal barber!  Ahh… now that makes sense!  Wow, sounds like Jay is experiencing some pretty cool star treatment.  Jonny Cake had apparently just gotten in from Los Angeles where he cut Prince and Q-Tip’s hair for their video shoot.  Damn, now this dude is no joke!   I guess Jay Sean is just being safe just in case he gets to walk up to the podium and celebrate with the rest of Cash Money if Lil’ Wayne takes home some Grammys.
