With an upcoming album release in late September and a US tour this autumn, Jay Sean is hitting the US scene stronger than ever. “This year is focused a lot on America, and I mean a LOT”. The potential of the US market is “untapped”. Can Jay be that one Asian urban RnB artist to represent the Desi scene in the US? I reckon he has it in him.  “This album is a lot more exciting for me, it was like my baby, no one interfered with it.” Looks like we are going to get the naked truth in this album.  Jay revealed that his show in Cali on the 3rd of July will feature his newest collaboration with New York artist Thara in a track called “Murder”. It will be their first time ever on stage together. Jay first met Thara 2 years ago the Bollywood Awards in Atlantic City and they have been "hanging out" ever since. “We just really hit it off, we got along really well”. Look out for the track in our iTunes store in the next couple of months! Even more exciting news— Jay mentioned that there is another collaboration on his new album, although he didn’t mention who with! Jay did mention that sometime in the future he would love to do a track with Beyonce.  “She’s got the looks, she can sing, she can dance—she has the whole thing on lock, she is amazing”.  It's been three years since Jay Sean first jumped into the industry, he has whole lot of experience under his belt and he's performed all over the world. “You know how big you are, how little you are, you really get a perspective of where you stand in the world and how much further you have gotta go, ya know?” Jay did a lot of soul searching while writing his second album. “Sometimes you just need to remove yourself from everything else and say—this is just a little bit crazy.” Not only is he charming, but also down to earth?!?! Jay hopes that in the future people will view South Asian artists in a normal light, not in the stereo typical, backward view that people tend to have. “We don’t all have strict parents or all study medicine or law anymore. We need to be seen in a positive light in the media." Jay believes that the only way the South Asian community can move forward in the entertainment industry is if people in the media view us a good light and understand what our scene is about.  Jay's got the looks, he's got the beats, and he's got the drive to explode through the roof in the US.  People, get ready for the new age of Jay Sean.
