Sonu Niigaam fans that came to see and hear the star in concert on August 18th in Los Angeles were in for a surprise! Michael Jackson's brother, Jermaine Jackson, joined Sonu on stage to thank fans for all their love and support!

"I wanted to tell you, this song has been especially dedicated today to some very special people over here, "started Sonu. But before he could continue the dedication, screaming fans interrupted him with love declarations. The star who recently turned 36 responded: "I love you too, thank you."

"And a very, very big hand to the most momentous person sitting over here that deserves a very big round of applause, from the big legendary family of the Jacksons, Mr. Jermaine Jackson is sitting over here!"

The audience applauded as the late Michael Jackson's older brother stood up and greeted the fans. But then the event took a whole new turn as Sonu asked Jermaine to join him on stage!

"I want you to come up on the stage," said Sonu."I think people would want you to come up on the stage," he added as fans encouraged the star.

Jermaine Jackson finally joined Sonu Niigaam on stage to the tunes of "Billie Jean."  The two artists hugged before Jermaine addressed the ecstatic fans.

"Hello everybody. I just wanted to say thank you for supporting my family, especially my brother. I have been a big fan of Asian and Indian music for many, many years. I just wanted to say thank you for all the love and support. I always say that it's because of you that the videos first started because I love the energy and the dancing in the music, thank you very much. Bye bye," Jermaine said smiling while taking Sonu's hand.

The two hugged again before Jermaine left the stage. What a night!

For Sonu, it was truly an amazing night. "The LA show was path breaking... Jermaine sat on first row.... I met him on stage for the first time. Later I learned that he knew all my songs thanks to Halima, his wife. It was such a pleasant surprise," he told DesiHits!

Sonu Nigaam has been a fan of the late Michael Jackson all of his life, so it was important for him to pay tribute to the King of Pop as part of his U.S. Explosion tour that ended with this surprise appearance during the tour’s last concert in LA. Sonu sang "Billie Jean" and walked the moonwalk, celebrating the man who inspired him through his musical career.  Jermaine simply couldn’t miss a show where his younger brother Michael was honored by one of India’s biggest pop stars.

Listen u all assoles, Sonuji had an emmense respect for the Jackson family, and at difficult times everyone needs a moral aupport, u all jackasses are just a bunch of jealous motherfuckers, Sonuji does not need to do anything to get fame, because he is rated as one of the best singers worldwide, Winfrey Opera said that he is the best singer, all the classical maestros approve on this, he was just giving them a strength that they are not alone in their difficult times.. But u all are big time fucking bastards who rip their asses apart when someone gets name!! U all are FUCKING BASTARDS!!

i agree - I think it was so awkward and not cool for sonu to do this. those people went to see him sing and enjoy his concert not to be pulled up on stage because they are D list stars - who cares to hear ed harddy WHO sing?!!! would anyone even know who they are??? Sure if Jay sean or MIA was there i'd want to pull them out - but then it would wrong to do that because it makes YOU look good. Sonu is a great singer - the best, he doesn't need to do this, i go to his concert to see him not some d list stars that who no one even cares about... I hate how indian poeple come here and get all crazy about western so called stars, we don't care uness they are bigs stars who are relevant todaaaaaaaaaaay!!! not 20 years ago!! common oh and yes he really needs a makeover!

It seemed to be a very very awkward moment for both Jermain and the other man he called on stage. Jermain had nothing much to say and Sonu's tone towards him was very awkward--then his calling attention to the fact that Jermain was so shy he still was hiding his face was a big mistake to say, and putting pressure on the other man to sing didn't go off well either. What was the point. I would imagine they weren't very happy about being put on the spot. I went to Sonu's concert in Oakland and was very disappointed. I am a huge fan and I paid a lot of money(wow, his shows are pricey!) and I wanted to hear that beautiful velvet voice, and I was especially excited to hear his sweet duets with Sonidhi, but they only seemed to want to do loud, raucus songs! I guess that is why they called it the "Explosion" tour! They did only one slow sweet song from Fanaa, and then went back to the yelling fast songs. So sad....Sonu's is the sweetest voice on the planet & he is trying to impress people some other way. There are so many rock n rollers---why can't he sing his gorgeous ghazals?

OMG - I am sonu's biggest fan but what the hell is he doing??? this is whack - its kinda like he's tryin to show his ALREADY huge fanbase that he has "hollywood" friends... but lets be honest they aren't people who are happening today - jimmy jam and mr lewis?????? ok they were around in the 80's! and Jermain jackson - that's just riding off MJ who was the STAR!!! not anyone else. Sonu is the biggest star - he doesn't need to do this bullshit in america to look cool what he needs to do is sort out her hair - that will make him coooooooooooool

This is seems so funny. Ed and Jermaine must have been laughing like hell after this whole event. Look at the cranky beat of Billie Jean these guys are playing and Sonu Nigams whole style and personality, so much persistent .. slobbering over trying to get fame in the name of tribute for Michael Jackson
