Are you really surprised that Justin Timberlake chose to collaborate with T.I. and Timbaland once again to create his new song 'If I'? Do you think they're starting to become a predictable combination? After all, this is the threesome behind Justin Timberlake's 2006 smash 'My Love'.

It also makes the third collaboration for T.I.  and Justin Timberlake, following their last effort   'Dead and Gone' featured on T.I.'s platinum album 'Paper Trail. 'Dead and Gone' could be a possible single following T.I.'s hit song with Rihanna 'Live Your Life', but 'If I' may be a replacement.

Plans for 'If I' appearing on either a new Justin Timberlake or T.I. album have yet to be revealed.  Timbaland may also snatch up the song for his upcoming album. With T.I.'s jail sentence getting closer and closer, he may want to cash in on the success of 'Paper Trail' by re-releasing it with some new songs.

Justin Timberlake captures that old school R&B sound on the song, even inspiring T.I. to hit some notes. No heavy auto tune found here though. I guess they were going for a more legitimate sound. The funny thing is T.I. doesn't sound that bad. But seriously guys, rappers need to stop singing.

Timbaland stylistically stepped out of his comfort zone on this one. It sounds like a 70's, 80's R&B revival song more than his usual darker heavy-synthesized sound.  The song resembles Snoop Dogg's, 'Signs' which also featured a 70's R&B inspired Justin Timberlake working at replacing his late 90's boy band persona.

Bloggers aren't sure what to think. Conflicts range from people hating on Justin Timberlake stemming from his 'Super Bowl' incident with Janet Jackson. Others feel like he's trying to steal the African American audience. But his cross-over success has proved him worthy of collaborations with guys like T.I., 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg.  Tell us if you think team 'My Love' has another hit on their hands.
