While it’s no surprise to us when we hear about stars from the west heading to India, the news that Kanye West is going to seek refuge there was quite shocking. Not so much because he wants to go there, it’s just that with the stunts he has been pulling lately, only God knows what type of commotion he will cause in the motherland. 

After the MTV VMA incident with country starlet Taylor Swift, Kanye told the world on The Jay Leno Show that he needed a break. And MSNBC reported today that West is seeking refuge in India but that the artist had not disclosed a location as of yet.  A close friend of West told MSNBC, "Kanye might do some dumb things, but he’s smart. He knows he needs to come back from this break changed, and that isn’t going to happen at some rehab overlooking the ocean. He goes to India, he has a chance to come back seeming like he learned something from what happened."

But as we all know, when it comes to tinseltown, a lot of rumors go around that aren’t really true. And it looks like this could be one of them. While the latest gossip in the music biz said that the R&B star was planning on flying to India to get some rest after his recent setbacks, other sources insist that the rumors are simply not true. According to a source close to Perez Hilton, "there is absolutely NO truth to the ridiculous rumor surrounding Kanye and a trip to India."

Well there you have it folks! India won’t be seeing Kanye meditating at a local yoga studio anytime soon, but who knows? Maybe when he is felling better he can go on tour there to spread some love through his music?We would be very happy! Wherever Kanye West chooses to go, we wish him the best of luck in his recovery!
