Detroit born rapper/R&B artist Kidd Skilly is now sharing the stage in a new phase of his entertainment career. Skilly is putting aside some time to give the spotlight to up and coming artists by putting on a “One Day Remix” competition. Skilly is giving any poet, rapper or singer an opportunity to put their own spin on the last verse of his track, “One Day Remix”.  The artist with the best version will have his verse added to the actual song which will be featured on Kidd Skilly’s next mix tape, Undercover Superstar II. The winner will be chosen by Skilly’s producer, Helluva. Kid Skilly has long been a promoter of individual artistic ability and this is just his newest way of getting his passion out into the public eye.

The rapper’s collaboration with Akon jump started his career and today he is using his success to create a platform for others. He hopes that by doing this competition and not just rhyming himself, he can inspire a new generation of artists.

His new release focuses on life within the business and all of his different experiences in the industry. He’s definitely getting his name out there and hopefully will soon be promoting the newest wave of artists who will be rapping, rhyming and writing new tracks for their time in the spotlight.
