"So it's cool when Lil Wayne, T-Pain, 50 Cent and Kanye use auto-tune, but when Skilly does it, it's a problem?" so is that kidd skilly's plan, to copy the hiphop people who do it, its not working, auto-tuning your voice to that level is pathetic, why would anyone in the right mind want to listen to such robot music.

The Talkbox is an old invention which dates back to Stevie Wonder era and it was made famous by Zapp & Roger in the early 80s. It sad to hear the Youngins think that TPain started it. This not the typical Skilly tracks when he first debuted. Although the beats are better, his lyricism is up and down on this one.

Tpain wasnt the first to use the voicebox, do you know how many artists have used the voicebox. do some research youngins. personally, i like the voicebox sound, it gives tracks a different feel, i dont think kidd is trying to be a singer, pay attention the the rappin, the hooks are fun, i think.

If a person who can actually sing uses the effect its coo cuz its just a filter, but a person who cant sing uses it, it sounds like they tryin too hard, so Kid silly stop tryin too hard

So it's cool when Lil Wayne, T-Pain, 50 Cent and Kanye use auto-tune, but when Skilly does it, it's a problem? You got to love the Desi market... everyone has these funny opinions that don't make sense :) I think the track is good, but his Undercover Superstar track kills it!

this is ridiculous, why is he trying to sing, he clearly can't thats why he has to over do it with auto-tuning his voice.

....

August 21, 2008 08:11 PST

seriously... are people hearing the samething i am? Someone please tell kid skilly to drop the voice box (t-pain voice). Lyrically skilly is good. stop trying to be a lil wayne. damn voice box is ruining the hip hop world. Hopefully skilly goes back to what he does best, and thats rapping lyrics.
