Miss UK, Lisa Lazarus is all set for her acting debut role in the new Salman Khan movie titled Veer. After a long search for the right female lead, Lazarus arrived a few days in ago Mumbai to shoot the film, causing a media frenzy for pictures of the new actress. Lazarus and Khan had a photo opp for the film coming out sometime in 2009. The movie is a period drama with a powerful love story, in the vein of the American film, Gladiator. T Veer is reportedly a story idea Khan has been thinking about for upwards of twenty years and one which he at one time hoped to direct, although he is not doing so. Most recently Veer has been compared to Amitabh Bachchan's 1992 film "Suryavanshi"; however both Khan and the director deny these claims as Khan himself wrote the script for the film. Directed by Anil Sharma, the details released are that it is set in the 1800s and is about a father and son. Khan had to bulk up for the role by gaining weight and clearly working out to resemble the warrior/gladiator type which he is portraying. In addition to adding muscle to his body, he also has long hair for his role; many pictures have been floating on the internet revealing his new image. Although Lazarus is playing opposite Khan, it is unclear what her role exactly is. From the limited information available, it can be surmised that she will be his love interest in the movie. It is unclear if Lazarus had to also make adjustments to her appearance for her role, but she will undoubtedly be beautiful.
