Madonna's spokeswoman, Liz Rosenberg, confirmed via email with the Associated Press that Madonna and her director husband Guy Ritchie will divorce. A statement by Ritchie's representative stated that the couple has not agreed on a settlement. The two first met through their mutual friends Sting and wife, Trudie Styler, in 1999. Madonna's first marriage was with actor Sean Penn in 1985 and the two divorced in 1989.
