Madonna Cashes In RICHIE Time

October 14 2007 00:34 PST

Guess who's seeing green? None other than the material girl herself! Pop icon Madonna is set to leave her long time Warner Bros. Records label for a whopping $120 million dollar deal with concert promotion firm Live Nation Inc.

Word has it that Madonna will receive a mix of cash and stock in exchange for allowing Live Nation to distribute three studio albums, promote concert tours, sell merchandise and license her name. Now how about that Madge! Lucrative deal isn't it! Madonna has recorded for the Warner Music Group Corp label her entire career however, she still owes Warner Music a new studio CD and a greatest hits package.

And you know what the old saying is… a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. So it looks like this diva will definitely be cashing in on some SERIOU$$ moulah because apparently Live Nation also is expected to pay $50 million in cash and stock for the right to promote her concert tours. And even though she does not tour much, she is a popular draw ranking No. 4 on trade publication Pollstar's list of the top acts in 2006, with North American ticket sales of $86 million. With a track record like that who needs to go on tour! You get paid just for being Mrs. RICHIE right!
