Desi Hits! has the EXCLUSIVE news on one of the biggest urban/mainstream collaborations to hit the Urban Desi scene!  Raghav may have been out of the limelight for a bit, but it’s not as if he hasn’t been busy, we all know he’s been hard at work in the recording studio finishing his sophomore album, ‘Identity.’  But what exactly is going on??  The rumors have been flying on release dates, potential collaborations and producers, but Desi Hits! own Jay Gatzby from the Corner and myself witnessed something that confirmed all the hype that we were hearing.  A serious musical movement is truly brewing. 

At a studio in the Chelsea district of Manhattan, Raghav linked up with Hip-Hop legend Redman who dropped a SICK 16 bar verse for his first single, ‘My Kind of Girl,’.  Redman’s raw vibe combined with his ultimate street swagger lent vocals that complemented Raghav’s famed R&B delivery.  The collaboration went down thanks to Raghav’s manager Trenton Harrison-Lewis of Palestar Entertainment and his heavyweight connections in the music industry.  So what exactly was the vibe in the studio?  Well you would think Redman, the legend that he is, would have had a huge ego.  That wasn’t the case at all.  Redman came there to make a hit record – as he told Raghav himself.  The track played and Redman bobbed his head in a way that you knew he was ready to make history.  The energy was electric and the end product reflected that – but you can decide for yourself when we drop the exclusive first listen of ‘My Kinda Girl’ feat.
